Join us for a musical biography of one of the greatest female entertainers of all time... Barbra Streisand!

17th Annual Benefit Brunch

Join us for this most informative and entertaining journey through the life of the greatest female entertainer of all time and help us celebrate our wonderful Glenkirk family members and friends with intellectual disabilities.

We are thrilled to welcome Hy Speck back as our guest speaker this year.  Hy has distinguished himself with over 40 years of teaching experience and is currently a Docent for the Chicago Architecture Association.  His presentation will trace Barbra Streisand's journey from a skinny cross eyed child to one of our most talented and memorable concert singers and star of Broadway, TV and motion pictures.

Barbra is one of only two women to win Tonys, Emmys, Grammys and Oscars.  She has excelled as an actor, singer, writer, composer, producer and director.  Her records have sold millions of copies, earning her a number one album in each of the last five decades. She has appeared in 19 movies, winning two academy awards. Hy Speck will present her first recording at age 13, her first TV and concert appearances and clips from her most popular screen performances in Funny Girl, The Way We Were and Yentil.

All proceeds from this event proudly go to support the following
programs of Glenkirk:

Full Life & Activity Fund
Provides those without financial resources or family support the

Home Improvements

Next Generation Services
